U-turn to Be Built Under Harco Glodok Flyover

Starting on Wednesday (7/15), a U-turn will be opened under the Harco Glodok Flyover, Tamansari Sub-District, Pinangsia Urban Village, West Jakarta. Through U-turn. It aims to parse traffic congestion in Kota Tua and Glodok areas and simplify motorists to reach Jalan Gajah Mada.

West Jakarta Mayor, Anas Effendi acknowledged that the U-turn is aimed to parse congestion along Jalan Kali Besar, Jalan Kunir and Jalan Kemukus.

Parsing Traffic Jam, Plumpang U-turn Closed

“Lately, I get complaints from motorists where they have to take far access road, especially from Jalan Kunir. Through U-turn, I hope it could be resolved,” he said, Tuesday (7/14).

Through U-turn, Effendi furthered, the motorists to hold on in an orderly culture in traffic. In this matter, the West Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department would also take part to conduct a raid against public transport which often picks up passengers under the flyover.

"Besides that, the existence of pedestrian must be optimized. Don’t let illegal parking is used as illegal parking or terminal by irresponsible people. Remember, this must also be prioritized,” he told to West Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department.
